The "Fraunhofer in-vitro diagnostic platform" is a joint project of seven Fraunhofer institutes in which a lab-on-chip solution for patient-near diagnostics was established. The developed lab-on-chip system has the size of a credit-card and is able to determine up to 500 parameters in parallel using microarray techniques.
